Volleyball Season Begins
Bergen begins the season 2-2 after their first four matches.
Paramus, NJ - Bergen's Women's Volleyball team begins the season with 2-2 record after going 1-2 at the Nassau Tournament and defeating Buck CC last week. The team is under new leadership with their new head coach, Samoya Bailey, who was hired early in August.
Bergen lost their first match of the year to Harcum College by the score of L-20-25,25-15,25-20,25-22 at the Nassau Invitational. They then defeated Community College of Rhode Island by the scores of W-26-24,20-25,19-25,16-25. Bulldogs unfortunately lost their third match of the day to L-25-12,25-19,25-12 to the host Nassau CC.
Bergen picked it up again by defeating Bucks in the three sets last Tuesday. Bergen swept region opponent Bucks by the scores of W-15-25,18-25,20-25.
Bergen has a lot of potential this year having seven returners from last year's team return.
Bergen will travel to cross town to face Passaic Panthers on Tuesday, September 4 at 7:00 PM.
