Ramapo Invitational 3/30-3/31 Results
Bulldogs begin their women's track & field season at the Ramapo Invitational, in Mahwah, NJ.
Paramus, NJ- Bergen begins their track and field season at the Ramapo Invitational. The team is off to a great start as two of their four athlete have qualified for nations in multi events. Sophomore star, Justin Conca, had a great meet, which she qualified for two events. Justine qualified for the 5000 meter race finishing in 17th place out of 31 runners with a time of 20:37.41. She also finished in second place in the steeplechase event with a time of 12:50.10. Freshman, Liz Vargas qualified for nationals in the Javelin event. Liz earned the qualification to nationals by throwing the Javelin 34.03m and finishing 8 out of 20 throwers.
Freshman, Selen Guner, also had a good meet finishing in the middle of the pack in the 100m race with a time of 14.74. Freshman, Amanda Modelfino, had her first meet and threw both the Shot Put and the Javelin.
The team finished in 16th place, but look to improve on that in their next meet with the addition of freshman sprinter/jumper Allison Bryan.
The Bulldogs will now travel to Wagner College of for the Wagner Invitational in Staten Island, New York, on Saturday, April 7.
