Paramus, NJ – The Bergen Community College women's soccer team faced a tough outing on Tuesday, falling to Middlesex College 7-0 at home. Despite a valiant effort, Bergen was unable to match the offensive firepower of Middlesex, who improved to 4-1-1 on the season.
The match started with both teams playing solid defense, but Middlesex opened the scoring in the 30th minute with a goal from Genesis Garces-Gomez. Bergen's defense, led by goalkeeper Jackie Carabello, held firm for the remainder of the first half. However, Middlesex took full control in the second half, netting six more goals to secure the victory.
Middlesex's standout player was Genesis Garces-Gomez, who scored a hat-trick with three unassisted goals. Isabelle Marin also contributed two goals, while Jasmin Alvarado added two more late in the match to round out the scoring.
