PARAMUS, NJ -- Bergen Bulldogs Women's Basketball lost a frustrating game 57-37 to Raritan Valley Tuesday night. This loss ends the Bulldogs 3 game winning streak and brings them to 14-7 on the season. The Bulldogs never led at any point in the game.
The Raritan Valley Lions jumped out early and took a 9-2 lead in the first five minutes. They extended that to an 11 point lead (21-10) by the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs continued to slide through the second quarter as they were never really able to put much together on offense. The game went into half time with Bergen trailing 32-16. The Lions extended their lead to 20 points early in the third quarter (40-20) and the game was never close again after that. As the clock expired at the end of the game, Bergen found themselves on the wrong side of a 57-37 final.
Bergen's Thursday night game has been cancelled so the Bulldogs will have a week off before their next game. Bergen will take on Passaic County Community College on Tuesday, February 12 at 5:00 at home. Passaic currently stands at 10-13 on the season.
