Second Half Comeback Falls Just Short in 50-52 Overtime Loss To Passaic

PATERSON, NJ- Bergen fought back from a 13-point, half-time deficit but came up just short in overtime 50-52 to Passaic County Community College.
Bergen fell to 0-4 on the year, while Passaic improved to 2-4.
IMPACT PLAYERS
- Jacqueline Carabello scored 11 points of her team-high 17 points in the second half. She also added seven assists, seven rebounds, and six steals.
- Charmaigne Alcober added 12 points, and 4 rebounds.
- Nya Duran played all 45 minutes of the game adding 10 points, five rebounds and 3 steals
- Josselyn Nantipia recorded 13 rebounds while chipping in 5 points.
GAME NOTES
- This is the first game of the 23-24 season for county rivals. They will meet again when Passaic travels to Bergen on 12/7.
- Tonight's game counted only for GSAC standings. The 12/7 game at Bergen will count towards Region 19 standings.
- Jacqueline Carabello returned to the starting lineup for the first time since the season opener.
- Bergen outscored Passaic 28-15 in the second half.
- Passaic was able to take an early four-point lead in the overtime and hold off Bergen in the final possession of the game.
- This was a season-high point total for the Bulldogs, previously averaging 23 points per game.

The Bulldogs return to action after the Thanksgiving break on Tuesday (Nov. 30) when they host Bronx Community College. Game time is 6 p.m. at Bergen Gymnasium.
