2018 Spring Trip Results
Bergen Bulldogs comeback from Myrtle Beach with an 6-1 record.
Paramus, NJ - Bergen Bulldogs traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for Spring Break. They played a total of 7 games and won 6 of them. The pitching staff took the cake, with 4 complete games and three shutouts. The offense was not too far away, scoring over 10 runs in 3 of those 7 games.
First game vs. Quinsigamond Community College- Bergen won 13-1, Sophomore Jose Sierra pitched a complete game allowing 1 Hit, 1 BB and 9 Ks. Sophomores Joey Mitchell, Dylan Habeeb and Mikal Trice collected two hits each. Sophomore, Alex Sica, had a pinch hit two run homerun in the 4 inning.
Second game vs. Adriondack Community College - Bergen won 1-0, Freshman Aryed Garcia throws a complete game shutout and allowed 3 Hits 1 HBP and struck out 10 batters in 7 innings. Mikal Trice had the game winning hit when he drove home Kelvin Cruz with a double.
Third game vs. Montgomery County College - Bergen won 6-0, Freshman Jeremie Torres throws a complete game shutout and allowed 3 Hits, 2 BB and struck out 11 batters in 7 innings. Isaiah Acosta doubled and Jonnathan Cepeda tripled.
Fourth game vs. Onondaga Community College - Bergen won 12-2, Sophomore Josue Ruiz wins his first game of the throwing a complete game and allowing only 2 runs on 3 Hits and striking out 4 batters. Jonnathan Cepeda. Gabriel Tosado, and Kelvin Cruz all scored twice and had two RBI. Jonnathan Cepeda and Evan Geisler had two hits each. Evan Geisler went deep for his first career collegiate homerun &. Gabriel Tosado Tripled to lead the team to 9 runs in the first inning.
Fifth game vs. Massasoit Community College - Bergen won 11-0, sophomore Cristian Garcia pitched a complete game shutout with 6 strikeouts in 5 innings and allowing 4 hits and 2 BB. Adrian Alacron had a big day going 2-3 with a double, triple, 3 runs scored, stolen base and 3 RBI. Jonnathan Cepeda followed him with a 2-2 day with three runs scored, 2 stolen bases and RBI. Mikal Trice and Kyle Seickel also had a double each.
Sixth game vs. Mohawk Valley Community College - Bergen won 7-3, Christian Cefalo got the win by pitching 5.1 inning allowing one run, with two hits and runs allowed and 5K's. Trey Fracassini closed the game out with 1.2 inning pitched. The offense was led by Martin Lucibello and Sean Kelly who each had two hits each.
Seventh game vs. Adirondack Community College- Bergen loses their first game of the year by the score of 8-5. Michael Cerbo had a tough outing for the bulldogs going 2.2 innings with the 6 walks and 5 runs earned. Jake Urisillo received the loss after giving up 1 run in 2.1 innings pitched. Kylr Seickel had a big day at the plate going 3-4 with a triple and 2 RBI. Evan Geisler followed with a 2-3 day with one run scored and three RBI. Mikal Trice and Dylan Habeeb also had two hits each.
