JONATHAN MONTEROSSO NAMED NEW HEAD WOMEN'S SOCCER COACH
PARAMUS, NJ- The Bergen Community College Department of Athletics has named Jonathan Monterosso the new Women's Soccer Head Coach. Monterosso comes to the Bulldogs after spending the last six years at the high school and club level.
Monterosso's coaching career began at Ridgefield High School during the Fall of 2019, where he served as the Head Varsity Girls Coach and the Assistant Junior Varsity Coach. While at Ridgefield High School, Monterosso planned daily practices, coordinated with other members of his staff, analyzed game files using video analysis, and developed customized game plans for each player based on areas of opportunities, strengths, and weaknesses.
He went on to make stops at the Dwight Englewood School, Dumont and Ramapo College.
Monterosso earned his master's degree from Seton Hall in Sport& Exercise Psychology in 2018. He is a 2016 graduate of Seton Hall where he majored in Psychology.
In Monterosso's own words, "I am extremely grateful to be given the opportunity to be the new Women's Head Soccer Coach at Bergen Community College. I am excited for this new challenge in my coaching journey and hope to bring a Region19 title to the program and compete in the national championship. My main philosophy as a coach is to put every player in a position to succeed on and off the field through proper communication, constructive criticism, and a positive environment. I also have a Master's degree in sports psychology in which I incorporate the mental side of the game into my coaching. With my incredible staff we are ready to continue to build this program and teach the beautiful game of soccer. Go Bulldogs!"
