Women's Cross Country Season
Women's Cross Country looking to build on last years run at NJCAA Nationals.
Paramus, NJ – Bergen Community College's Women's Cross Country team is full with high expectations after last year's successful season. The team is looking to continue to build a solid team to compete for the region title.
Returns from last year's team include Amanda Duran (Hackensack, NJ), Melissa Duran (Hackensack, NJ), and Kelli Galati (Rutherford, NJ). They bring experience after competing at nationals last year to the freshmen class.
Coach Deana Dedovitch continues to recruit excellent talent. This year she brings in a talented freshmen class, which includes Justine Conca (Nutley, NJ), Faega Fostok (Wayne, NJ), Jessica Reyes (Cliffside Park, NJ) and Elizabeth Zuluaga (Ridgefield, NJ).
Justine Conca has had the best time this year and also landed USTFCCCA National Women's Cross Country DIII Runner of the week. She earned those honors after finishing runner-up in the Ramapo Opener at Garret Mountain.
Amanda Duran has had the second best time this season for the Bulldogs and a couple minutes behind Justine Conca.
USTFCCCA National Ranking have Bergen ranked 3rd in the nation as of 9/21.
The team will now travel to The 15th Goldey – Beacom College Fall Classic on 9/22.
