Samantah Frola earns both conference player of the week and national player of the week for her dominating play the week of (Oct.1-Oct.7)
Paramus, NJ - Bergen's Samantha Frola has been named both NJCAA III Tachikara Offensive Player of the Week and Garden State Athletic Conference Division III women's volleyball player of the week.
Samanth Frola led the Bulldogs to a perfect 4-0 record on the week. The Sophomore OH from Becton Regional High School started the week off with 17 Kills and 12 Blocked Shots in a 3-2 win over the Raritan Valley CC. The following match, Frola had 9 Kills in a three set win over Middlesex County College. Two days later, Frola had 8 Kills and 13 Blocks, in three set victory over Montgomery CCC. Frola continued her tremendous play by helping the Bulldogs with a victory over RCGC. In the 3-1 win over RCGC, she finished with 19 Kills, 3 Digs, 12 Blocked Shots and 8 Service Aces. Frola has helped the Bulldogs of Bergen to a 9-1 stretch since coming of an injury early in the season.
Samantha Frola is currently 2nd in the nation in Hitting Percentage, with a .468 average. She is also ranked 2nd in the nation in Block Solos (79). Go Bulldogs!!!
