Bergen Sweeps Camden
Bergen had a big day against a tough opponent, by winning, 4-3 and 5-1.
Paramus, NJ - Bergen Softball picked up the 2nd and 3rd win of the year versus Camden. Madison led the way pitching both complete games. The wins put Bergen softball 2-2 in the region standings.
First game of the doubleheader was a close extra inning game, a big hit from Nicole Salvatore followed by another big game winning hit by Madison Kolich. Kolich went 3-4 on the day a run scored and RBI. Tatiana Fermaint went 2-4 and caught for the Bulldogs. Anira Calamia had an RBI hit early in the game. Madison took the cake, by going 2-3 with a run scored and pitched a complete game (including extra innings), allowing 7 hits, 2 BB, 1 ER and 4K's.
Second game of the doubleheader, Bergen continued to hit and won 5-1 over Camden. Madison Heck a complete game, allowing 7 Hits, 1 ER and 3 BB, which led to her third win of the season. Giovanna Dandeneau went 2-4 with a run scored and RBI. Tatiana Fermaint went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a sacrifice hit. Hannah Christensen went 1-4 with 1 run scored and RBI. Skylar Hanley went 2-4 and turned a game ending double play from the outfield. Finally, Nicole Salvatore led the offence with a 2-4 day with a run scored and RBI.
