Bergen Splits with RCGC
Bergen Splits with #4 ranked RCGC 5-4 and 10-14.
Paramus, NJ- Bergen had a big win against #4 ranked RCGC on Saturday, April 24. Bergen won the first game 5-4 in walk off fashion, but lost the game 14-10 on several walks and wild pitches. Bergen's split with RCGC gives them an overall record of 11-9.
First game, Nate pitched very well against RCGC and gave Bergen an opportunity to win the game. Sure enough, Bergen came back down 3-1 and took the lead 4-3 in the 4th inning. RCGC came back to tie it in the 6th.
In the 9th inning, Bergen put a couple men on base, Evan Geisler who had a game winning hit in the last game was up to the plate. Evan took a 2-0 fastball and drill it down the line for a walk off double against the #4 team in the nation.
Second game, Bergen was back and forth with the RCGC throughout the game, but Bergen's bullpen was not able to hold RCGC. Bergen lost the game 14-10.
Bulldogs will travel to Middlesex on Tuesday, April 23. Go Bulldogs!!!
