DOUBLEHEADER VERSUS BUCKS CC
Bergen sweeps doubleheader versus Bucks and clinch a playoff spot in the Region XIX Tournament.
Paramus, NJ - Bergen wins their 21st & 22nd games of the year after defeating Bucks CC by the scores of 10-0 and 5-1.
First Game:
Bergen's Wander Jimenez (4-4) picks up his 4th win of the year by pitching complete game shutout.
Second Game:
Bergen's Jose Sierra (5-1) picks up his 5th win of the year by pitching complete game and allowing one run.
The offense had 17 stolen bases on the day that make for 145 on the season, which has the team ranked #1 in the nation in stolen bases. The 145 stolen bases also breaks a school record and the season has yet to end.
The 5-1 win against Bucks, clinches a playoff berth into the Region XIX Tournament this coming weekend. The seeding meeting will be on Wednesday, May 10th to determine where and when the Bulldogs will play. This will be the 5th time in 6 years that Coach Mimms had led the team into the Region XIX tournament.
Bulldogs now will travel to Middlesex CC today for the final regular season game of the season and also to determine the series.
